It was a simple dare contest. You and some of the other cadets from the 104th trainees squad were sitting, enjoying lunch at the recon team HQ when suddenly, someone suggested a simple game of truth or dare. Everyone agreed, the day having been long and mundane. They needed something interesting to do.

It started with Sasha, having refused the question asked to her, she was forced to lick a suspicious looking mushroom somone had found nearby. Christa was next. Someone asked her what her most embarrassing moment was, to which she replied, blushing horribly: "Wetting my bed the first night of trainee camp." The whole table laughed at that.

Eren, who had slipped away from his assigned group was asked who at the table would he marry if forced to. Eren blushed and hung his head, pointing ever so slowly at Mikasa, who seemed genuinely surprised. Eren tried to explain himself, claiming that because they were friends, it would be alright, but this only resulted in Mikasa decking the poor fellow.

So on and on it went, creating surprise and laughter in the group, the dares and questions increasing in intensity until the game came to you again.

"So then, ________, truth or dare?"

You smiled cockily and placed your arms behind your head. "Dare" You replied cheekily.

"Dare huh?" Jean cocked an eyebrow at you, a small smirk forming on his lips. "Alright, _______. I gotta dare for you." Everyone bent in, listening to Jean's words. "I dare you...to steal Corporal Rivaille's ."

Everyone at the table gasped. Armin stood abruptly. "Jean, that's going too far! You realize what could happen if _______ gets caught?!"

Jean smiled, his eyes darting over to you. "I'm perfectly aware. Which is why I asked her to do it. Or else, she can confess to us who she has a crush on."

You sat rigidly and felt a pink blush dust your cheeks. Everyone looked at you expectantly. You felt a sweat bead your forehead. You couldn't confess to your friends who you had been daydreaming of ever since you joined the recon team! Especially when he was the subject of the dare!

"I...I..." You stuttered, your eyes darting back and forth in between the group. You hung your head in defeat. "I accept the dare."

This earned you a quiet round of applause of admiration. Jean stood and stretched. "Alright then, bring it to us tomorrow morning, and we'll see how well you did."

With that, the group dispersed, leaving you alone and pondering how you were going to pull the feat off.

~~~
It was later that night, that you decided to make your move. It was after everyone had gone to bed, and when the leaders of the group were having a meeting. That was when you chose to sneak out of your bunk and make your way to the corporal's quarters. It took you a while to get there, and you had a few close calls when other cadets passed by you, giving you questioning looks. You managed to pass them by, however.
Eventually, you arrived outside the corporal's dorm. Giving a small prayer, you ever so slowly opened the door, and were relieved to find that no one was in there. Cautiously, you crept into the room, making sure to close the door behind you. Then you began your search.
You opened the drawers of his desk, of his nightstand, looked through the wardrobe, everything to find the scarf. "Where is it?" You mumbled. "It has to be here somewhere...unless..." You froze, hearing footsteps come down the hallway. You had a momentary spazz attack, which consisted of flailing limbs and wild, darting eyes until you dove into the wardrobe closet, shutting the door enough so that you could gaze out of a crack.
The door opened with a creak, revealing a familiarly annoyed looking corporal, with tired bags under his eyes. He glanced about the room for a moment, then entered, shutting the door behind him with a solid thunk.
Great. Now how were you going to get out? Not to mention you didn't have the scarf.
Wait, the scarf! You pressed closer to the crack, and were relieved to find it around his neck.
You sat back in the closet, discussing your plan of action to yourself. You obviously couldn't leave now, so it had to be while he was asleep. Then you could snatch the scarf and make a clean get away and-
Your thoughts scattered as the sound of rustling clothing caught your attention. You peered out through the tiny crack in the door and were astonished to find the corporal removing his 3DMG and then, ever so slowly, his shirt.
You tried to force yourself to look away, it was Rivaille, your superior, for heaven's sake! But your eyes would not comply. Tanned muscle and scarred skin were revealed underneath the clothing, memories from years of fighting titans. You had to cover your mouth to keep yourself from letting out a strange inhuman sound of surprise and glee.
Rivialle sat for a few minutes, his shoulders slumped, breathing evenly in and out before removing his boots and laying down on top of the sheets, his back turned towards you.
after what seemed like hours, you decided that the corporal was finally asleep. Every so slowly you crept from your hiding spot and closed the door behind you, making sure it didn't creak.
You tiptoed to the bed-stand, and reached for the scarf when-
Creak!
You barely had time to register that the floor had made a sound before you felt a hand lock your arm in a vice-like grip. You were lifted off the ground and flipped onto something soft, the bed presumably. Barely had you opened your lips to scream before a hand covered your mouth, silencing you. Your hands were held above your head by your wrists. Panic raced through your system, adrenaline seeming to pump into your veins.
Your eyes opened wide and you tried to thrash, wiggle your way out, but the grip on your hands only tightened to the point of pain.
You could faintly make out the shape of a body above you, broad shoulders hunched over as they struggled to contain you. A blush rose to your face as you realized that Corporal Rivaille still wasn't wearing a shirt, and how close in contact he was with you.
In the dim light, you could see a face hover above yours. Eyebrows drawn tight together, eyes sparkling darkly, lips drawn into a hostile frown.
"What are you doing in my bunk?"
The voice came out gravely and deep, a tone not to be reckoned with. You felt your shoulders shake a bit in fear. You never expected to be caught, and now you were staring into Rivaille's eyes, which were full of anger.
Rivaille took away his hand to allow you to speak. "I-I-I....Well I-, you see-um..." You were still minorly reoccupied with looking at his shoulders and chest, and couldn't properly form an answer.
The corporal leaned in closer to you. You could feel his breath on your face. "Out with it, Cadet." he hissed.
You gulped loudly. "It was a dare, sir, the other cadets and I, we were just playing! Things got out of hand! I-"
"What" He spoke, his voice silencing yours. "Was the dare?"
You bit your lip, then spoke again in a whisper. "I was sent to retrieve the scarf, sir."
Rivaille looked surprised. He leaned back a bit, his hair falling over his eyes. "The scarf...?" he echoed, glancing at his bedstand, whee it lay neatly folded.
You nodded.
The corporal was still for a moment, then smirked the slightest bit. "You really went as far to hide in my closet" He reached for the scarf and held it in front of you. "For this?"
You nodded. "Yes."
Your superior chuckled with amusement. He glanced down at you, and put the scarf back where it belonged. "I have to admire your bravery, soldier. Not every cadet can venture into the Corporal's bunk for a piece of fabric."
You stared at the man above you with a mixture of fear and surprise. You tried to keep your eyes from darting to his chest, but it was so hard! His muscles were just begging to be looked at!
Unfortunately, he noticed. He cocked an eyebrow at you suspiciously. "Where are you looking, cadet?"
You looked away, your face turning a shade of crimson.
Rivaille gripped your face, turning it back towards him. "I asked you a question, cadet."
You felt yourself shiver, and you tried to focus anywhere except his chest, which only made you stare straight into those oh-so serious eyes of his.
"Y-your pectorals...sir."
Rivialle frowned deeper, pushing you into the thin mattress. "You are discovered in my bunk without permission in the middle of the night, and you have the audacity to admire my body?"
You swallowed thickly. You really screwed it up now. You'd probably be kicked out, or have to run laps for all of tomorrow, or do something equally as horrible for the rest of the week. There was no way you were getting out of this one.
A long and heavy silence hung in the room. It was killing you. You felt as if you sat one more second staring into those damn eyes of his, you would explode.
Finally he spoke. "You are cadet _______, ________, are you not?"
You nodded every so slightly, as much as the grip he had on your face would allow.
Rivaille's expression changed to something you couldn't place. However, there was a smile on his lips, ever so slight, so that had to be a good thing...right?
"Well, Cadet _______, You may have the scarf."
You wanted to cheer, but you knew he wasn't finished talking, so you remained silent.
"However." A smile twitched at the corner of his lips. "You must do my bidding personally for the remainder of the week, understood?"
You felt your throat go dry. Yet you nodded anyways.
"Good." He shifted, his hands leaving your wrists and face, until he was standing beside you. Quickly, he snatched his jacket and hung it around his shoulders. He carefully picked up his scarf before turning once again to you, by which point you had sat up and were sitting at attention.
"I expect you at my offices at 6 AM tomorrow morning, any later and I shall have you running laps around the courtyard for 3 hours. Understood?" he offered you the scarf.
You took it gently, but firmly, tucking it safely in your pocket. "Yes Sir" You responded.
"Now get out."
You didn't need to be told twice. You stood and as quickly as you could, side-stepped past the corporal and opened the door. At the last moment, you turned. Rivaille's face looked back at you with annoyance.
"Now what?"
Slowly, and gently, you placed your right hand over your chest, where your heart was. "Thank you, Corporal Rivaille." you murmured, giving him a soft smile.
Rivaille looked unimpressed. "Your welcome. Now. get. out."
With that you turned, rushing down the hallway and away from the leader's room. Rivaille was left alone in his room, looking down at his hand where your fingers had brushed his palm.
"________, huh? Some kid." He blew out the candle in his room, encasing it in darkness.
