You managed to find the Val'ister's tent easily. You could see it towering over the shops for quite a distance away. It never ceased to surprise you how it large it was. The top of the tent was at least 3 stories high, with a bright purple flag flying over it.

As you got closer to the tent, you stopped occasionally to admire what the vendors had to offer. Necklaces made from strange stones, candles that had foreign scents, cloths with textures you had never felt before, all of it was so strange and so wonderful at the same time.

You noticed however, that many, no- most of the elves you talked with looked at you with a hint of sadness in their eyes. You didn't notice at first. It was probably because they felt sorry for you, or at least so you thought.

You hesitantly pushed open the covering to the entrance of the large tent. The room seemed to be completely transformed from what it had been last night. There were almost no people in there, the lanterns were gone, and so was the joyful feeling from last night.

Calister was standing in front of the throne platform on the other side of the room. He was talking with a short, lean male elf, who was holding something in his arms. He didn't notice you. You weren't sure to make yourself known or wait until he was done. However, the smaller elf noticed you and muttered something to Calister.

Calister turned and smiled, beckoning you over. You returned the smile cheerfully and walked across the large ballroom to where he was standing.

"Glad you could make it" he greeted you. He turned to the servant elf. "You can leave them here Fyore. I"ll make sure they're taken care of."

The Elf nodded and excused himself quietly.

"I noticed you were upset last night after your encounter with Silvertounge. When i heard of this at the party, I thought you might enjoy seeing them."

"Them..?" you echoed, peering past him, to a small cradle. In the cradle was a litter of tabby kittens, varying from brown and black stripes to white and black markings. You laughed and gently picked up a small gray and black tabby. "How cute!" you exclaimed. "How in the world do you have kittens?"

Calister looked puzzled. "Kittens?" he asked, the word sounding strange on his tongue. "No, the elven word for these creatures is Quessir."

"Quessir" You repeated, enjoying the way the word flowed off your tongue. The tabby in your hands mewled in response. "Ha. That shall be your name then."

"You like them?"

"Very much." you laughed. "They are adorable." You looked up at Calister with a smile. "Thank you for showing me this. Everything is so foriegn and strange here. It's nice to have a bit of familiarity to keep me sane."

Calister closed his eyes and smiled. "I'm glad you like them."

A low, hungry rumble came from your stomach. You looked down at your tummy with a disapproving glare.

Calister laughed. "We should have lunch, yes?"

"Absolutely" You agreed.

A while later, you were seated in Calister's lounge, which was basically an entire room stuffed with plush pillows and fragrant smelling candles. You had Quessir on your lap, and were helping yourself to a variety of breads, cheese, and sweets. Calister was sticking mainly to the sweets, not caring about being healthy.

"So, _________" he asked after finishing yet another sweet. "Tell me about yourself"

You froze, and slowly set down the peice of bread en route to your mouth. That was the same question Bruce had asked you all that time ago. It only felt like hours, but it was more like weeks.

Your eyes began to sting a bit when hot tears pricked them. You wiped them away in frustration.

"_________?"

"I'm fine." You told Calister. "I just...am missing my friends very much."

"Tell me about them." he asked, leaning his head on his hands.

"Well, I don't have many." You replied, wiping your eyes. "I live by myself, you see. I only occasionally go to visit my cousin Jane and her boyfriend. Thor introduced me to a few friend the other night. Steve is a very sweet and kind gentleman. Tony is kind of arrogant, and very much a playboy. Clint and Natasha are both polite, but Natasha is easier to talk to than Clint. Then there's the Sif and the warriors three, whom I've known ever since I've known Thor. And Bruce, of course." your face sank a little. "I would have liked to have known Bruce better before Loki...kidnapped me."

Calister sat straight up. "You mean you didn't come with Silvertongue of your own free will?" he asked suddenly. "He brought you here by force?"

You nodded. "Thor tried to stop him, but he wasn't fast enough."

"I see." There was a long pause in the room.

"Will you help me?" you asked. "I want to get back to my world, and away from Loki."

Calister put his head back on his hands, looking to be in serious thought. "If you had asked me before, I would have told you no. Now that I know Silvertongue captured you against your will, I am unsure."

"Please!" you begged. "He says he is going to hurt Thor, and without me he can't go through with it."

Calister sighed, then smiled at you. "Alright. But if we are going to get you back home, we have to do it quickly."

You sighed with relief. "Thank you."

Calister rested his hand on yours. "Upon my honor, I will do my best to get you home."
Short chapter is short again :faint:

The interesting part keeps getting longers, and instead of one chapters, it suddenly became two, and it got too long, and :faint:

So yes, I kinda lied when I said this was the interesting chapter. Next one will! I swear!

please don't throw tomatoes at me. oAo
